Claire Wan is certified Physician Assistant and is delighted to serve children and adolescents at Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics. She grew up in Atlanta and studied French and Spanish at Hamilton College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2003. She started her career in public health as a Fulbright scholar in Morocco where she studied infectious diseases. After earning her Master’s degree in Public Health from Emory University, she conducted research in adolescent and young adult mental health. She learned that she loves working with patients directly and went back to school at the Tufts University Physician Assistant Program where she earned a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences in 2016. She loves working in pediatrics and has special interests in mental health, sleep, and pediatric obesity. She believes in using silliness to connect with young children. In her free time, she enjoys running, baking, and playing goofy games with her kid.
